The Plumas United Church Women (UCW) met on May 20 following a general cleanup and planting of the flower bed. Thanks were expressed to all who helped to make the spring tea and bake sale a success, and to the provider of the flowers for the beds. Correspondence included: an invitation from Ross Brook House to attend a powwow on May 27; a request from the Community Garden Committee, regarding maintenance July 18-24; and a request from Plan for the UCW’s donation for its foster child Zanety

The Province of Manitoba wants to decrease household use of phosphorus products, beginning with dish detergent. As of July 1, new legislation bans the sales of dish detergent with phosphorus levels more than 0.5 per cent per weight. [more]
